Onewheel

Tire pressure is the single most-asked question about Onewheel ownership — and the most consequential for ride feel. These guides cover the recommended range for each board, the ride-feel trade-offs, and why "what PSI should my Onewheel be" has more than one right answer.

Why PSI matters more than people think

A few PSI in either direction completely changes how a Onewheel rides. Lower pressure (12-15 PSI): more comfortable, better grip on rough surfaces, slower turn-in, faster tire wear. Higher pressure (18-20 PSI): faster, sharper carving, less rolling resistance, harsher over bumps. The factory recommendation is a sensible middle. Many experienced riders end up running slightly lower than spec on weekends and slightly higher on commutes.

Whatever you settle on, check it weekly — tire pressure on a Onewheel drops about 1-2 PSI per week from normal porosity, faster in cold weather. A tire that started at 17 PSI on Monday is probably at 14 PSI by the following Friday, which feels noticeably squishier and uses more battery.
