Onewheel GT tire pressure

The GT is Future Motion's heaviest current platform. Factory range is 15-20 PSI; the typical sweet spot is around 18 PSI — about 1-2 PSI higher than the equivalent on a Pint or XR for similar rider weight, because the heavier board compresses the tire more.

Quick answer

Why the GT typically wants higher PSI

The GT weighs about 16 kg — heaviest of any current Onewheel platform. The standard XR weighs around 12 kg; the Pint around 11 kg. At any given PSI, the heavier board compresses the tire more, so equivalent ride feel needs slightly higher pressure.

The GT's higher top speed and PSI

The GT's marketed top speed (~32 km/h / 20 mph) is the highest of any Onewheel model. At higher speeds, lower PSI introduces wobble — the tire flex amplifies any imbalance and can trigger nose-dives more easily. Riders who push toward the GT's top speed regularly tend to settle at 19-20 PSI for stability, even at the cost of comfort over rough surfaces.

If you ride conservatively (under 25 km/h), you can comfortably run lower pressures with no stability concern.

The GT's range and PSI

Marketed range is 32-50 km. Real-world heavily depends on PSI:

The GT-S

The GT-S uses the same tire and the same 15-20 PSI recommended range. There is no measurable difference in real-world sweet spot between GT and GT-S — same physics apply. Riders who upgrade from GT to GT-S typically keep the same PSI.

Frequently asked

What PSI should a Onewheel GT be? +
Future Motion recommends 15-20 PSI. Most GT riders settle at 18 PSI for the typical rider weight (75-90 kg). Heavier riders push 19-20 PSI for sharper handling and to compensate for the GT's heavier board weight; lighter riders can comfortably run 16-17 PSI.
Why does my GT feel different at the same PSI as my XR? +
The GT weighs about 4 kg more than the XR — that extra mass compresses the tire harder, so the same PSI feels softer on a GT than on an XR. To get a similar ride feel, run the GT 1-2 PSI higher than your XR setting.
Is the GT-S tire pressure different from the GT? +
No. The GT-S uses the same tire and the same recommended pressure range as the GT. Any small difference in real-world sweet spot comes from rider preference, not the platform.
